Madison, WI – Warrior Songs, a 501(c)(3) charity, will be releasing its first compilation CD on November 5th in time for Veterans Day. Entitled Warrior Songs Vol. 1, the fourteen song CD tells veterans’ true stories of war, struggle, and redemption. Jason Moon, a U.S. veteran of the Iraq war and the 2016 Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Singer/Songwriter of the Year, spearheaded the project. Moon’s solo CDs have already helped veterans around the country embrace healing and turn away from suicide. Warrior Songs Vol. 1 continues this work, transmuting soldiers’ pain into life-affirming art.
